Landscaping

  • I want to makeover my yard but don’t know where to start. Do you offer design services?

We sure do. We provide concept of site planning design for new construction in the planning stage, as well as design for existing houses which need something completely new.

  • Can you recommend plants that won’t get eaten by deer?

There are a number of deer-resistant plants we often suggest, but it really depends on the aesthetic you’re looking for, and whether the area is primarily sun or shade. Some popular choices include lavender, daffodils or marigolds for flowers, and boxwood or holly for shrubs.

  • What is the best time of year to get started?

There is no right or wrong time to start! Even if the ground is still frozen, it’s never too early to start making plans so you’re ready to go when spring arrives. We start to get really busy when flowers start blooming, so the sooner you call, the better.

Construction

  • Are your electricians and plumbers licensed?

You bet—we only use contractors who are licensed and carry insurance.

  • What type of construction services do you provide?

If it’s something outside, we can build it. Our most popular services include renovations, excavation, paving, fencing, and structures such as gazebos. We also build outdoor recreation areas such as tennis courts, putting greens and pools. Click here for our full list of construction services.

Yes! We will evaluate the level of damage and provide you with options and recommendations for moving forward.

Masonry

  • Are the cracks in my retaining walls caused by settling?

Cracks are very common, especially in older or poorly done stonework or concrete. Cracks can be caused by improper installation, unbalanced soil pressure, settling, temperature fluctuations or age. We can check your cracks to see whether they are cosmetic or structural, and repair the damage for you.

  • What type of masonry services do you provide?

You can see the full list here, but really anything involving stone or concrete—from paths and patios, to columns and walls.

Drainage

  • My property gets big puddles that sit around after a heavy rain, can you fix that?

Absolutely. Not only are these puddles annoying, but they can kill your grass and provide a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other pests. Contact us for a free evaluation of your yard—we will provide you with the best options for improving your drainage and eliminating these issues.

  • What type of drainage solutions do you normally recommend?

It really depends on your property, its size, as well as the budget, but it can be as simple as grading or installing swales which divert water, to in-ground detention or storm drain systems.
